VOcationaL Placements in Europe

Picture

The "VOLPE: Vocational Placements in Europe" project is a VET key action 1 project of Erasmus+, funded by the National Agency INAPP

The Action is aimed at students and graduates of the Tourist and Commercial schools which are partner institutes of the consortium. Thanks to VOLPE, young people will be able to enjoy an internship opportunity abroad to experience the European job market, to live ordinary day-to-day life in another country and to improve their research skills and deepen their language skills.
The project lasts two years (2019-2021) and is promoted by the secondary schools IIS Manfredi-Tanari, ISISS Gobetti and ITCS Gaetano Salvemini. As coordinator of the project, YouNet takes care of the administrative and organizational aspects. Net in Action involvement will contribute with students' education to entrepreneurship skills and the Municipality of Bologna will be responsible for the visibility of the results.
Given the centrality of the tourism sector for the development of the country, we strongly believe that the tourism education system must guarantee the enhancement of professional skills in line with the evolution of the sector and consistent with the positioning of the national offer. Indeed, from an analysis of the context it emerged that the schools of the consortium are unprepared to provide transversal skills (specifically IT and linguistic) necessary to respond to the evolving needs of the tourism market and that there is, therefore, a discrepancy between the preparation of graduates and the labor market.

From this was born the VOLPE project, whose goal is to promote the development of teaching in the field of commercial and tourist services, paying particular attention to its digitization and internationalization, improving the employment prospects of young people. For the 31-day mobility, the students involved are a total of 92; in addition to these, 16 new graduates will leave for the ErasmusPRO mobility lasting 92 days.

Some of the expected results are:
- Higher% of employment and better job prospects
- Greater use of European tools for the recognition and validation of skills
- Greater synergy and cooperation with schools, institutions and local organizations active in the field of education and education
- Greater student entrepreneurship
- Greater prospects for cross-sectoral development
- Largest network of SMEs and experienced entrepreneurs in Italy
- Greater closeness of young people to Europe
- Strengthened relationships between local schools
- Greater diffusion of European opportunities
