Net in Action (NIA) is an institution of the third sector, located in Bologna, which pursue the objectives of social solidarity.

It was founded in 2010, in Bologna, by young people in the not-for-profit sector. They engaged in planning and implementing numerous local, nationals and internationals projects. From these experiences, the founders of NIA decided to focus their attention in the field of social inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities. Net in Action, in fact, carries out its activities addressed to disadvantaged individuals that do not have the same opportunities as their peers due to economic, social, physic, educative, cultural and geographic reasons.

Our Field of Expertise

NIA has developed a strong experience in the implementation of European projects, especially within the frame of the following programmes: Youth in Action, Erasmus+, COSME/Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs, Europe for Citizens.

Our Interests

In particular NIA has managed several youth exchanges on the topics of social inclusion, active citizenship and cultural diversity; NIA worked on the project Europe for Citizens, called “Human Library” regarding the theme of the historical memory of the Holocaust; it worked on the establishment of the European partnership (Path to success in EUROPE and NexStep) to support the employability of young people with fewer opportunities; it managed the international training for youth workers, called “Build up your future”; it is an Intermediary Organisation of the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme since 2016.
