"Work in Progress": a Year of European Dialogue on EmploymentThe Work in Progress (WIP) project, supported by the Europe for Citizens programme, has successfully concluded after an intense year of activities and international meetings involving over 500 European citizens. The project provided a valuable opportunity for dialogue on the topic of employment in Europe, with active citizen participation at its core.Throughout the six international events, participants – including young people, migrants, academics, policymakers, public administrators, and members of civil society – had the chance to exchange experiences, ideas, and proposals about the challenges and transformations facing the European labour market. WIP successfully created a truly transnational space for dialogue, promoting active citizenship and a sense of belonging to a more inclusive and united Europe.
The final conference offered a moment to reflect on the journey, presenting the outcomes of the previous events and outlining possible future directions. Reports and materials from the final event are available on the official project website: Visit the final conference page. Despite the important achievements, much remains to be done. That’s why the conversation continues through the blog and e-library sections of the website, where visitors can explore the topics in greater depth and contribute to planning future activities: Explore the e-library. Work in Progress is not just a project – it's a call to keep building, together, a fairer, more participatory, and sustainable Europe of work. |
