Net in Action (NIA) is an institution of the third sector, located in Bologna, which pursue the objectives of social solidarity.

It was founded in 2010, in Bologna, by people involved in the not-for-profit sector. They engaged in planning and implementing numerous local, nationals and internationals projects. 


Nowadays Net in Action is a dynamic network dedicated to promoting inclusion, participation, and empowerment through European projects. We work with and for young people, especially those with fewer opportunities, NEETs, and individuals from vulnerable groups, by creating meaningful learning experiences and tools for personal and professional growth.
Over the years, our focus has evolved to respond to emerging social and economic challenges. In recent times, we have increasingly concentrated on fostering entrepreneurial skills, employability, and soft skill development, providing targeted support to help individuals access quality opportunities in education, training, and the labour market.
Our initiatives are rooted in the values of active citizenship, intercultural dialogue, and non-formal education, and aim to build inclusive spaces where participants can share experiences, develop new competencies, and become agents of positive change in their communities.
We believe in Europe as a space of solidarity and opportunity, and through our projects, we strive to create bridges between people, institutions, and ideas to promote social inclusion, equal access to resources, and a stronger sense of European identity.
With every project, Net in Action supports individuals in turning their potential into action.

Our Field of Expertise
NIA has developed a strong experience in the implementation of European projects, especially within the frame of the following programmes: Youth in Action, Erasmus+, COSME/Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs, Europe for Citizens.

Our objectives
Net in Action pursues the following goals:
  • To promote social inclusion, particularly of young people who are NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) or from disadvantaged backgrounds;
  • To promote the right to information and active social participation among young people;
  • To support and encourage active citizenship and social and democratic engagement;
  • To encourage awareness, knowledge, and skill development among young people in relation to global challenges;
  • To promote intercultural and non-formal learning among young people with fewer opportunities and educational disadvantages;
  • To facilitate the entry of young people and vulnerable groups into the skilled labour market;
  • To support and contribute to the training of young people and vulnerable groups for better integration into society;
  • To raise awareness among young people of a European and intercultural dimension.
